About The Position
About the Role:
Optibus is growing rapidly across the UK and Europe with no signs of slowing down. We have recently partnered with Stagecoach and Arriva and are signing new customers at an increasing rate. This has led to us scaling our Solutions Engineering Team where we are now seeking a new Solutions Engineer Team Lead to join us.
The Solutions Engineer Team Lead will be coming in to lead a team of Solutions Engineers, in a role that will be split between team management and software Implementation. You will be involved in 1-2-1’s with your team, conducting PDPs and ensuring the team is properly motivated. Our Solution Engineering team is focused on ensuring clients are onboarded in a smooth and efficient manner allowing them to get the most out of our product. You will be expected to research new tools and ways of working to help drive improvements to our current processes to make sure we are following best practices. You will be coming into a technical yet customer facing position which will give you a very wide range of responsibilities. This position will encompass many different aspects including: Software Implementation, Stakeholder Management, User Training and support, Project Management and Data Migration and Transformation.
We give our Solution Engineers a lot of autonomy and responsibility for their work and projects and as a Lead you will be involved in the more strategic elements of the implementation ensuring projects are being run and managed effectively. Building strong relationships with our customers is key.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent STEM qualification.
- 5+ Years Experience working in a customer-facing role
- Prior experience in leading a technical team
- Basic understanding of data manipulation
- Strong grasp of Microsoft Excel
- A natural and confident communicator who really enjoys the ‘people’ side of their role in building strong, trusted and lasting relationships
- A Team player – someone enjoys being part of a friendly and social team and supportive of their peers
It would be great if you have:
- Experience coding in Python
- Experience in a Customer Success/Professional Services role desired
- An additional European language such as German, French or Spanish
- A transport background
